Maintenance & Faults

I help with maintenance, checks and faults on air conditioning and electrical installations.

For air conditioning, I do not only check whether the unit still blows air or cools. I also measure the installation technically, so it becomes clear how the system is really performing.

For electrical faults, I work in the same way: first measure and understand what is happening, then repair in a targeted way.

Preventive Maintenance

For air conditioning, I can also offer a preventive maintenance contract. The installation is then not only checked when a fault has already appeared, but inspected and followed up periodically.

The benefits are mainly practical:

the installation stays cleaner, quieter and more hygienic
measurements and findings are recorded as a reference for later
early changes often become visible sooner
in case of a fault, I can assess the installation more quickly because its history is known
maintenance customers receive priority in my planning, without an absolute guarantee of immediate intervention
the maintenance price is clear in advance and travel time is included in it

Preventive maintenance does not remove every risk of a fault, but it helps to follow the condition of the installation more closely and limit unpleasant surprises.

Refrigeration Fault

For refrigeration maintenance, I have the necessary measuring equipment to properly check an air conditioning installation.

This allows me to look at, among other things:

pressures and temperatures in the refrigeration circuit
the temperature difference between return air and supply air
operation in both cooling and heating mode
electrical consumption during operation
the general efficiency and performance of the installation
signs of dirt, poor airflow or a technical problem
priority, a specific rate in case of a fault, etc.

Maintenance then becomes more than just cleaning. By measuring properly, I can often better assess whether an installation is working normally, losing efficiency or needs further investigation.

For air conditioning faults I bring specialist measuring and diagnostic equipment.

Electrical Faults

For electrical faults too, I measure systematically.

For example, I check:

voltage and polarity
earth and continuity
differential protection devices
circuit breakers and connections
suspicious cables, connections or switches

With existing installations, it is important to work carefully. Sometimes the cause is simple, but sometimes the problem is deeper in the installation. I explain clearly what I measure and what I think is the most logical next step.

When Maintenance Is Useful

Regular maintenance is especially useful when:

the air conditioner cools or heats less well
the unit makes more noise than before
the airflow seems weaker
odours appear
consumption seems higher than expected
the installation has not been checked for a long time

A well-maintained air conditioner runs more quietly, more hygienically and usually more efficiently. Small issues also often become visible before they turn into a real fault.

Practical Approach

During a service visit, I start with the complaint or question: what exactly do you notice, when does it happen and since when?

Then I check the installation step by step. For air conditioning, I combine visual inspection, cleaning where needed and measurements of the operation. For electrical faults, I first measure the basic values so it becomes clearer where the problem is likely to be.

If a repair is possible immediately, I carry it out. If parts are needed or further investigation is required, I discuss that clearly first.
